Job summary

3M Hutchinson is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-impact environment with diverse products and processes. You will support EHS improvements, lead value stream projects, and drive safety, quality, and cost improvements across manufacturing lines.

The role requires a engineering STEM degree and 2 years of related experience, with opportunities to lead cross-functional teams and work on new product introductions. This position is based in Hutchinson, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other manufacturing STEM degree.
• Two (2) years experience in Product, Process, Quality, and/or Manufacturing Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Additional qualifications include degrees in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively support Environmental, Health and Safety improvements.
• Lead value stream improvement projects.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, service and cost for manufacturing lines.
• Support rapid resolution of customer complaints with corrective actions.
• Provide daily production support and troubleshooting for assigned products and operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new product introductions.
• Improve operations using continuous improvement and project management tools.
