Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls LLC in Valencia, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop detailed manufacturing instructions and programming data to produce machined parts and sub-assemblies in alignment with engineering drawings.

You will optimize machining processes, establish tooling and equipment needs, and collaborate with design and production teams to improve cost, schedule, and quality across new and legacy components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in machining or manufacturing engineering.
• CAD design/drawing experience with CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Lean Manufacturing, LEAN tools, and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Capable of planning production from start to finish.
• Proficient in GD&T and interpreting 2D/3D models.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing engineering capable to recommend, implement, and improve machining process flows and tools.
• Assisting machinists with program prove out.
• Be able to implement quick change over set up tools and process adequate process.
• Establishing standard times for setup and run of each operation on assigned parts.
• Originate studies to improve manufacturing efficiency and recommend changes.
• Participates in design reviews for DFx and cost considerations; review drawings for manufacturability.
