Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an on-site, permanent role in Coudersport, PA. You will develop and optimize manufacturing methods, supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement across Lean initiatives.

Solidworks, 3D CAD Design, and AutoCAD will be used daily to enhance processes and layouts. Ideal candidates will have a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree with 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, 3D CAD Design, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Utilize Solidworks, 3D CAD Design, and AutoCAD to design and optimize production processes and equipment.
