Silgan Closures, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Evansville, Indiana operations. You will lead capital projects, drive process improvements, improve equipment reliability, and manage safety programs that support our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to assist multiple plants.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/plant engineering or project engineering experience.
• Experience leading engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and design software (AutoCAD).
• Strong budgeting, PFMEA and process improvement experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from planning and budgeting through implementation.
• Identify cost reduction, scrap reduction, and productivity improvement opportunities.
• Develop, implement and maintain safety systems per Silgan standards and OSHA.
• Drive equipment reliability improvements and preventive maintenance programs.
• Support energy reduction and sustainability initiatives across plants.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute engineering projects.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, electrical prints, and documentation.
