Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production for the Large Wideband Satellite Communications Terminal program in Melbourne, FL. This role focuses on the manufacturing of high-performance hardware, including CCAs, sub-assemblies, and rack assemblies, while driving continuous improvement in automated manufacturing processes.

The Manufacturing Engineer will implement process improvements and monitor operational and performance metrics to ensure high quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
Graduate degree with 2+ years of related experience.
8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, tools, processes and systems.

Responsibilities

Develops and improves manufacturing plans, projects, processes and systems.
Uses Earned Value Management to analyze budgets and schedule performance, including CPI/SPI and EAC/ETC.
Transfers manufacturing tools, strategies, methods and systems into production.
Develops manufacturing strategies to improve producibility, quality, efficiency and cost.
Leads manufacturing engineering efforts for large, complex project initiatives.
Resolves manufacturing issues through data analysis and root-cause investigation.
Maintains manufacturing documentation, process instructions, routings and reporting systems.
Provides input into new products, processes, standards and initiatives.
