Job summary

Software Placement Group, SPG in Chicago is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead APQP for new product launches and to build routers and BOM structures within a brand-new ERP system (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) coming online in January.

You will design fixtures and production equipment in Autodesk Inventor, own production routers and BOM documents, analyze process data and KPIs, write work instructions and test procedures, and provide on-the-floor training during the ERP transition.

Qualifications

5+ years in a machine shop, sheet metal fabrication, welding, or hand assembly environment.
Fixture design experience for machining and manual assembly.
Production router and BOM experience in an ERP system.
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design fixtures and production equipment in Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks is a plus).
Own production routers and BOM documents through the ERP transition.
Lead APQP on new product launches.
Analyze process data, production KPIs, and manufacturing cost data.
Write production work instructions and test procedures.
Submit engineering change notices.
Provide technical support and training to the shop floor.
