Job summary

Lutron Electronics’ Austin Manufacturing Facility is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to own the Ketra advanced packaging line, driving technical performance and continuous improvements across process, equipment, quality, and production metrics.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, lead root-cause analyses, and plan evaluations for new products while maintaining strong on-floor presence and willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and GPA 3.00+.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, process or automation roles.
• Experience using data to drive improvements.
• Strong problem solving and communication on cross‑functional teams.
• Willing to learn new equipment and technologies.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work hands-on on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Own technical performance of Ketra advanced packaging emitter line (quality, yield, throughput, uptime, cost).
• Monitor production data and KPIs; drive continuous improvement.
• Lead containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions with cross‑functional teams.
• Improve processes, equipment capability, standard work, and cycle time.
• Partner with Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering to introduce new equipment and products.
• Participate in design reviews and provide DFM feedback for new products.
• Plan and execute production evaluations; communicate results to stakeholders.
