Job summary

Lutron's Austin Manufacturing Facility seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to own the Ketra advanced packaging line’s technical performance and drive continuous improvement. You will serve as the technical owner for the line, collaborating across manufacturing, automated equipment, quality, and new product introduction.

Ideal candidates will have strong engineering fundamentals, good communication, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Minimum GPA 3.0 for all degrees earned.
2+ years in manufacturing/process/automation/quality-related roles.
Experience solving open-ended technical problems in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Own technical performance of Ketra advanced packaging emitter line including quality, yield, throughput, uptime, cost, and process stability.
Monitor and analyze production data and KPIs to identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
Lead containment, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action with cross-functional support.
Improve manufacturing processes, equipment capability, standard work, and process controls.
Partner with Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering teams to introduce new equipment, products, and processes.
Participate in design reviews and provide DFM feedback for new products.
Plan and execute production evaluations and communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
