Job summary

Wabash in Lafayette, IN offers an internship where you’ll gain real-world experience on a meaningful project with direct business impact. You’ll present your work to interns, managers, and senior leaders, and participate in Lunch and Learns to gain insights from across departments.

You’ll support design, development, and optimization of equipment and processes used to produce DuraPlate panels, and design and implement a scrap conveyor system to remove a safety risk from DuraPlate Operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Targeting students with Mechanical and Thermodynamics knowledge.
• Engineering software skills (CAD or SolidWorks preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and optimization of equipment and processes used in the production of DuraPlate panels.
• Plan, design, and implementation of scrap conveyor system to remove a safety risk from DuraPlate Operations. The design will integrate with current equipment and be able to accept expansion from future designs.
