Job summary

Textron Systems invites motivated interns to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering. You will support engineers, perform tasks with increasing complexity, and potentially guide technicians as you develop professional engineering skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on project work, mentorship, and exposure to real-world processes within a Fortune 500 environment located in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office suite experience.
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in completing tasks with a basic degree of complexity.
• This position may be responsible for providing guidance to technicians.
• Perform assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standards techniques, procedure, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
