Job summary

LISI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support Lean Manufacturing projects and continuous improvement initiatives, working under the Lean Manager to complete assigned manufacturing projects.

The role involves creating production metrics and display boards, conducting time studies to establish production standards, using SolidWorks for tool/part/workstation drawings, and producing SOPs and work instructions; no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

PRIMARY SUMMARY

Manufacturing Engineering Intern is responsible for completing manufacturing projects as assigned by the LEAN Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Lean Manufacturing projects/Continuous Improvement
• Produces production metrics and creates display boards.
• Performs time studies to establish production standards
• Utilizes Solid Works to create drawings for tools, parts, and work stations, etc...
• Create SOP's and Work Instructions
• Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

• Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

An individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access and Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials

Pay range: $25/Hr.
