Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. is offering an Industrial (Manufacturing) Engineering Intern position at its Garland, TX facility.

The role supports projects with engineering and operations teams to apply industrial engineering principles to production processes, workflows, and continuous improvement. You will gain hands-on experience through time studies, data analysis, process mapping, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (juniors and seniors preferred).
• Strong motivation to learn and succeed.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Observe and evaluate production processes, workflows, and material movement.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data and performance metrics.
• Assist with time studies, process mapping, capacity analysis, and workflow evaluations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost.
• Support continuous improvement and process-optimization projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, quality, and other cross-functional teams.
