Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking a Product Intern to participate in and lead scoped supporting processes, focusing on manufacturing process development in Surface Mount or Electro Mechanical assembly areas.

The role aims to develop sound, repeatable processes that maximize safety, yield, and efficiency, with mentorship from senior engineers. You’ll collaborate with engineers at the Focus Factory, Site, and Corporate level to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field for entire duration of internship.
• Experience in Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Lean Sigma.
• Proficient in Google Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manufacturing process development in Surface Mount or Electro Mechanical assembly areas.
• Review labor quotes versus actual times and implement process improvements.
• Assist with Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR's) and ECO impact analysis.
• Develop knowledge of Plexus Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Guidelines.
• Assist in determining facility requirements for new processes or equipment, adhering to safety practices.
