Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to provide technical leadership in identifying equipment needs for manufacturing and conveyor assembly. The intern will profile equipment vendors, write specs, and develop process technologies to maximize capital utilization and minimize time to volume.

The role includes creating visual aids, working with quality through measurement, and supporting design/drawing creation using 3D modeling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas and data manipulation.
• SolidWorks experience or other 3D modeling software.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership and communication with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of MRP tools for planning/scheduling.
• Occasional travel within the region to learn customer requirements.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
• Adherence to information security policies and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to identify equipment needs for manufacturing and conveyor assembly.
• Profile equipment vendors and write equipment specifications.
• Develop visuals and work instructions for engineering and other functions.
• Assist in quality by measuring parts and developing quality plans.
• Create 3D models and drawings for engineered products and systems.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) current vs. optimal.
• Assist with product performance testing and analysis of failures.
• Follow all assembly safety standards.
