Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our onsite facility in Rocket Center, WV. You will design and plan layouts for material-processing operations, develop work instructions, and drive process improvements in a high-precision environment supporting defense programs.

Required: BS in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years experience; ability to interpret 2D drawings; eligibility to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing and production processes.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions and production layouts.
• Identify process improvements and capture feedback from Operations.
• Respond to design changes and technical production issues.
• Generate specifications for procurement of new equipment.
• Establish safety requirements for facilities and equipment.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve MRB items.
