Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Bangor, ME seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement and optimize production processes. You will provide day-to-day engineering support to operations, troubleshooting equipment with assemblers and operators.

You will drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S projects, manage engineering changes, PFMEA and manufacturing documentation, and support new product introductions with tooling and efficient production methods. CAD, Excel and ERP proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• BSc or HNC in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in production/manufacturing engineering with continuous improvement focus.
• Proficient CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD/Draftsight) and strong Excel/ERP knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills; able to work across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement initiatives and optimise manufacturing processes within a forward-thinking engineering business based in Bangor.

Job Description

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues while working closely with assemblers and operators.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing productivity, quality, labour efficiency, and throughput using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
• Manage engineering changes, process validations, PFMEAs, and manufacturing documentation to ensure robust and controlled production processes.
• Support new product introductions by developing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that ensure efficient and scalable production.

Compensation

Full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week.
Standard hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm.
