Satellite Industries GmbH in Georgia seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve operations, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety while collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
You will lead process-improvement projects, provide tooling and fixturing technical support, participate in 5S programs, analyze costs, and drive cost-saving initiatives, ensuring standards through documentation and verification.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
The ME plays a role in supporting and improving operations. Their focus is on identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall performance while ensuring work is completed safely and effectively.
They will be working closely with operations, quality, and maintenance. They help troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and support ongoing production needs. This role is both hands-on and collaborative, with a strong connection to the production areas. They help develop and maintain needed systems to drive continuous improvement in areas of cost, quality, safety, lead time, and use of working capital.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crawl over, under and around equipment. The associate is required to frequently work from heights. May be exposed to vibrations. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
