Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Hudson, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing processes for defense and aerospace products, with a pay range of $53–$55 per hour and DoE considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in defense or aerospace.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for process development and optimization.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure producibility and manufacturability of new products.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to optimize flow and reduce cycle times.
• Evaluate manufacturing equipment and technologies, oversee their integration into production lines.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce costs, waste, and improve quality.
• Collaborate with quality to establish and maintain inspection and testing methods.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely material availability and supplier performance.
• Prepare and maintain process specifications, SOPs, and engineering change orders.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across operations.
