Job summary

Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact. The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for gas meter assemblies, working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements.

Role focuses on process optimization, tooling, safety, and documentation, with responsibility for time studies, cost justifications, and equipment launches in a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing related major (BSIE, BSME, BSIT, BSMT).
2–5 years' experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
3D CAD software knowledge.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve repeatable manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time and waste.
Implement Lean principles and VBLSS tools to support continuous improvement.
Create and maintain routings, BOMs, WPS/PQR files, and standard work documentation.
Ensure documentation meets ISO and internal quality standards.
Lead equipment launches and process upgrades.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
Provide technical backup to other Manufacturing Engineers or Supervisors as needed.
