Job summary

Hotstart Thermal Management in Spokane, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our growth of thermal management solutions. You will work closely with production support and engineering design teams to better serve our internal and external customers.

The position requires a BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience. You should understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and be proficient with reading

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering work experience.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of design specifications, reading drawings, schematics, BOMs.
• Solid Modeling and Drafting experience desired.
• Ability to work under compressed time constraints and multi-task.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices including assembly line setup, tooling, and equipment development.

• Ensure product quality and assist in root-cause analysis and resolving non-conformance.

Hotstart Thermal Management has an opening at our headquarters in Spokane, WA for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our growth of thermal management solutions. This position will work closely with production support and engineering design teams to better serve our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve production systems; design and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Identify areas where costs can be reduced and find ways to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure product quality, as well as assist in conducting root-cause analysis and resolve product non-conformance
• Manage projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and reporting results to management
• Provide technical support to production teams and help troubleshoot issues that arise
• Ensure manufacturing processes are safe and compliant
• Develop and implement PFMEA’s
• Create work instructions to support manufacturing of products

• BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
