Job summary

Hotstart, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support growth in thermal management solutions. You will work closely with production support and design engineering teams to better serve internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include developing production systems, improving equipment and processes, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Solid understanding of engineering basics: design specs, drawings, schematics, BOMs.
• Solid modeling and drafting experience; able to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Able to work well in a team or independently.
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices: assembly lines, tooling, equipment development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve production systems, design and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures. Identify areas where costs can be reduced and find ways to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure product quality and assist in root-cause analysis and resolving non-conformances.
• Manage projects from start to finish with plans, resources, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are safe and compliant.
• Develop and implement PFMEAs.
• Create work instructions to support manufacturing of products.

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer to support our growth in thermal management solutions. This position will work closely with production support and design engineering teams to better serve our internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and improve production systems, design and implement new equipment, processes, and procedures. Identify areas where costs can be reduced and find ways to increase efficiency and productivity
• Ensure product quality, as well as assist in conducting root-cause analysis and resolving non-conformances
• Manage projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and reporting results to management
• Provide technical support to production teams and help troubleshoot issues that arise
• Ensure that the manufacturing process is safe for workers and compliant
• Develop and implement PFMEAs
• Create work instructions to support manufacturing of products

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to teach
• Knowledge of general engineering, including understanding design specifications, reading drawings, schematics, and BOM's
• Solid modeling and drafting experience desiredAbility to work well under compressed time constraints and multitask
• Ability to work productively within a team setting or independently
• Knowledge of manufacturing practices, including assembly line setup, tooling, and equipment acquisition and development

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ Years of relevant engineering work experience
• BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
