Job summary

Gogo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to scale and optimize manufacturing and test operations for next-generation connectivity products. You will lead process deployment, support RF calibration and production testing, and partner across Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality and external contract manufacturers to deliver reliable solutions.

You will drive continuous improvement, troubleshoot issues, and ensure scalable, repeatable processes that meet high standards of quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, production assembly and test support.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical environments and production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for products across internal and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Support radio module programming, RF calibration, and production testing activities to ensure quality and readiness.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver reliable, scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Manage production test capability deployment at PCA, subassembly and system levels, including LTE test methods.
  • Troubleshoot process issues to improve yields, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Execute process, equipment, and test qualifications, ensuring consistency between Gogo and contract sites.

Manufacturing Engineer Help scale and optimize the manufacturing and test operations that power Gogo's next generation connectivity solutions. As our Manufacturing Engineer, you'll lead manufacturing and test process deployment, support production operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Gogo and our contract manufacturing partners. You'll work closely with Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality, Failure Analysis, Hardware Development, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure efficient, scalable, and repeatable manufacturing processes that support business growth and product excellence. What You’ll Do
  • Lead the deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for Gogo products across internal production operations and external contract manufacturing partners.
  • Support radio module programming, RF calibration, and production testing activities to ensure product quality and manufacturing readiness.
  • Partner with Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality, Failure Analysis, Hardware Development, and Contract Manufacturers to deliver reliable and scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • Manage production test capability deployment at PCA, subassembly, and system levels, including support for LTE functional testing and industry-standard production test methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and test process issues to improve product yields, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Execute process, equipment, and test qualification activities while ensuring consistency between Gogo and contract manufacturing sites.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production assembly, and production test support.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing processes, test systems, and production operations in an electro-mechanical environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and production test methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to support domestic travel up to 15% as required.
Even Better If you Have
  • Experience with RF products, wireless communications systems, or radio module manufacturing.
  • Exposure to LTE, 5G, or cellular production test environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience within aviation, aerospace, telecommunications, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturer management, production transfers, and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Experience with equipment correlation, process validation, yield improvement, and failure analysis activities.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing-related certifications.
