Job summary

Gogo in Broomfield, CO seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for our next-generation connectivity products.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality, Failure Analysis, Hardware Development, and external manufacturers to ensure scalable, repeatable processes and high yields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production assembly, and production test support.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes, test systems, and production operations in an electro‑mechanical environment.
• Experience with manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and production test methodologies.
• Ability to analyze failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and operational teams.
• Experience developing manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
• Ability to support domestic travel up to 15% as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for Gogo products across internal production and external contract manufacturers.
• Support radio module programming, RF calibration, and production testing activities to ensure product quality and readiness.
• Partner with engineering, production, quality, failure analysis, and contract manufacturers to deliver reliable manufacturing solutions.
• Manage production test capability deployment at PCA, subassembly, and system levels with LTE functional testing.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and test process issues to improve yields, throughput, and efficiency.
• Execute process, equipment, and test qualification activities ensuring consistency between sites.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, test procedures, and deployment docs.
• Train manufacturing personnel and contract teams on assembly and testing procedures.
• Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and optimize operations.
• Support NPI and successful transfer of manufacturing capabilities to contract partners.

As our Manufacturing Engineer, you'll lead manufacturing and test process deployment, support production operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across Gogo and our contract manufacturing partners. You'll work closely with Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality, Failure Analysis, Hardware Development, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure efficient, scalable, and repeatable manufacturing processes that support business growth and product excellence.

What You'll Do

• Lead the deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for Gogo products across internal production operations and external contract manufacturing partners.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.


• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production assembly, and production test support.


• Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing processes, test systems, and production operations in an electro-mechanical environment.


• Experience with manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and production test methodologies.


• Ability to analyze failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective corrective actions.


• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.


• Experience developing manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and training materials.


• Ability to support domestic travel up to 15% as required.
