Job summary

Gogo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead deployment and optimization of manufacturing and test processes for its products, both in internal operations and with contract manufacturers. You will support radio module programming, RF calibration, and test activities to ensure quality and readiness.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing & Test Engineering, Production, Quality, Failure Analysis, Hardware Development, and external partners to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production assembly, and production test support.
• Experience in electro-mechanical environments, supporting manufacturing processes, test systems, and production operations.
• Experience with process development, equipment qualification, and production test methodologies.
• Ability to analyze failures, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 15% as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage production test capability deployment at PCA, subassembly, and system levels, including support for LTE functional testing and industry-standard production test methodologies.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and test process issues to improve product yields, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Execute process, equipment, and test qualification activities while ensuring consistency between Gogo and contract manufacturing sites.

What You'll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production assembly, and production test support.

• Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing processes, test systems, and production operations in an electro-mechanical environment.

• Experience with manufacturing process development, equipment qualification, and production test methodologies.

• Ability to analyze failures, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective corrective actions.

• Ability to support domestic travel up to 15% as required.

• Experience with RF products, wireless communications systems, or radio module manufacturing.

• Exposure to LTE, 5G, or cellular production test environments.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

• Experience within aviation, aerospace, telecommunications, electronics, or high-technology manufacturing industries.

• Familiarity with contract manufacturer management, production transfers, and new product introduction (NPI).

• Experience with equipment correlation, process validation, yield improvement, and failure analysis activities.

• Lean, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing-related certifications.
