Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in test equipment and data analysis. The role involves supporting tests and manufacturing for mirror sub components, driving process improvements, and applying Lean/Six-Sigma practices to improve yield and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a technical bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of engineering experience, with exposure to software and hardware integration and programming.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Systems, or Software.
  • 2+ years experience or advanced degree in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for sub components in the mirror area.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new products.
  • Support knowledge transfer for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
