Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II focused on software and automation for our mirror manufacturing initiatives. The role emphasizes test equipment, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.

You will drive improvements in yields, process capability, and product health trends while applying Six Sigma and Lean methods. The position supports development of new products and knowledge transfer for equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Systems, or Software.
  • 2+ years experience or Advanced degree in Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with test equipment and data analysis.
  • Background in test equipment design/operation; software/hardware integration and programming.

Responsibilities

  • Provide test and manufacturing support for sub components in the mirror area.
  • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements.
  • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
  • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
  • Assist development of new products.
  • Support knowledge transfer for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
  • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
