The position requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of related experience. Occasional nights and weekends, cross-functional collaboration, and strong lean manufacturing and problem-solving skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of product design, programming, and materials.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and implementing methods and equipment.
• Optimizes processes with DFMA approach and works with engineers on variability reduction.
• Participates in NC programming, design maintenance, and revision control for processes.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by planning workflow and equipment layout.
• Calculates production costs and estimates future requirements; coordinates with vendors for turn-key systems.
• May require nights/weekends and variable hours as needed.
