Job summary
Steel & O'Brien Manufacturing in Cincinnati is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer-Automation/Robotics to design, program, and optimize robotic systems that boost production performance. You will lead automation initiatives, improve throughput, and enhance quality with hands-on engineering on the shop floor.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in robotic manufacturing, strong PLC/robot programming skills, and experience with Lean/Six Sigma.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering in automated/robotic environment.
- Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots.
- Experience with PLCs and automation control systems.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robotic manufacturing cells and automated production systems.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots.
- Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, conveyors, and other equipment.
- Lead automation projects from concept through installation and production launch.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
