Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering; advanced degree may reduce the requirement.
  • Experience in a regulated industry; medical device experience preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting products and manufacturing systems involving sensors, electronics, or production test.
  • Ability to communicate in English; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with flexible priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Transition medical diagnostic products from design to production by developing manufacturing processes, risk-based controls, and production work instructions.
  • Plan and execute pre-release and pilot builds to evaluate manufacturability, test performance, process capability, and production readiness.
  • Develop, qualify, and improve production fixtures, tooling, equipment, and test methods.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and suppliers to resolve production issues and improve quality and capacity.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, DOE to reduce waste and variation and improve throughput.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, sensors, instrumentation, production equipment, fixtures, and automated or software-assisted test systems.
  • Analyze production data to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements.
