Job summary

Hamilton Medical, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 in Reno, NV to improve existing operations and develop new manufacturing processes.

You will reduce costs, increase quality and yield, and ensure regulatory compliance by leveraging your expertise in manufacturing systems and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on technical ability, and experience with quality control systems in electronics or medical devices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years technical experience in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • Experience with ECO/change management and document control.
  • Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Suite; VBA/C++/JavaScript experience preferred.
  • Experience with CAD and PLC programming; familiarity with industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and develops manufacturing processes and improvements using KPI data.
  • Trains and guides technicians in process improvements and requirements.
  • Improves efficiency through workflow planning, space layout, and vendor qualification support.
  • Investigates root causes of nonconformances and implements corrective actions.
  • Drafts production process instructions and maintains BOMs and routing in engineering systems.
  • Ensures product and process quality with testing methods and capability studies.
  • Performs risk analysis and mitigation for manufacturing processes.
