Job summary

Hamilton Medical in Reno, NV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to improve existing operations and develop new manufacturing processes. You will reduce product cost, increase quality and process yield, and ensure compliance with government regulations by applying your experience in electronics or medical devices.

You will collaborate with Sales, Production, Quality and others, lead process improvements, draft instructions, and guide technicians while supporting project management from scoping

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in change management systems (ECO) and document control.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office; VBA, C++, G-code, JavaScript experience preferred.
  • 1+ year experience using CAD software; PLC programming and familiarity with industrial protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes to reduce cost and improve quality and yield.
  • Train technicians in process improvements and requirements.
  • Improve efficiency by planning workflow, space, and equipment layout; support QA and Purchasing with vendors.
  • Investigate root causes of nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Draft production process instructions, qualification documents, and maintain BOMs and routes.
