Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to join the Instruments Manufacturing team in San Jose, CA. This contract on W2 role combines manufacturing engineering with project management for small-to-moderate scope initiatives, driving process improvements and product changes.

The candidate should have a BS in ME/EE/IE or equivalent, 4–6+ years of high-tech manufacturing experience, and proficiency with Solidworks and MS Project. First shift; 40 hours/week; pay rate $20–$30/hr.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a BS degree: ME, EE, IE, IT or equivalent
• 4-6+ years' experience in a high tech manufacturing environment
• Proficient with Windows tools: MS Project, Visio
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and procedures
• Experience writing and reviewing Engineering Change Orders; PM experience

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams in Manufacturing Operations
• Improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality
• Qualify replacement components or suppliers and reduce costs
• Support introduction of new products via NPI programs
• Create assembly documentation; review designs for manufacturability
• Train production personnel; oversee junior engineers
• Support compliance and regulatory training and safety programs
• Investigate field issues and drive corrective actions
