Job summary

Schneider Electric in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support medium voltage switchgear production. You will provide daily technical support, work on low-volume, high-configuration lines, and partner with production teams to improve safety, quality, cycle times, and costs.

The role involves designing tooling, leading Kaizen, capital projects, process flow diagrams, time studies, PFMEA, and coordinating prototype builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years in manufacturing operations and project planning.
• Experience with Kaizen events and process optimization.
• Familiarity with SAP BOM/Routings preferred.
• Ability to design and implement manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for manufacturing and resolve issues using 8D and 5-Why.
• Design and implement efficient manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Plan and manage capital investment projects for cost reduction and capacity.
• Develop process flow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Perform time studies and line balancing to meet takt time.
• Coordinate prototype, pilot, and production validation builds.
• Support PFMEA and control plans.
