Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our Plant II team at our new Mount Juliet, Tennessee campus. This role focuses on improving product quality, reducing variation, and driving data-driven decisions to support a ramp-up from day one.

Responsibilities include applying structured problem-solving (8D, A3, DMAIC), Lean and Six Sigma, PFMEA/Control Plans, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to enable efficient, quality-driven operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering.
  • Proficient in structured problem-solving and root cause methodologies (8D, A3, DMAIC).
  • Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, process capability analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments focused on quality improvement and defect reduction.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, process auditing, and statistical analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Apply 8D, A3, and DMAIC to investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma across production processes.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Schneider Production System activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce process variation.
  • Support digital quality tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare Pareto analyses and quality improvement plans.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction and site quality objectives.
