Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Austin, TX to develop and maintain methods, sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts and final assemblies. You will work with other engineering teams to coordinate product improvements and new product releases.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of related experience. You will apply Lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve quality, while meeting time standards and tooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabrication of parts and final assemblies.
• Coordinate the release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Estimate and reduce manufacturing and/or product costs while improving quality.
• Determine time standards and advise on tooling and process requirements.
• Develop and use test procedures and evaluate results; assess methods and policies.
