Job summary

DISHER is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to partner with customers on manufacturing and project-based work, leading projects, communicating updates, and delivering engineering solutions. You will collaborate across teams, manage timelines and budgets, and apply lean and Six Sigma methods to improve processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor involvement, cross-industrial experience, and a commitment to customer success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or similar.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing engineering.
• Lean manufacturing familiarity (value stream mapping, 5S, standard work).
• Six Sigma training or Green Belt+ preferred, with DMAIC and SPC knowledge.
• Advanced manufacturing engineering experience (process/line layout, equipment procurement).
• Capital project management: scopes, budgets, schedules; vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions and support for customers.
• Communicate project updates and progress to customers.
• Lead projects and project teams to address customer issues.
• Ensure timelines, budgets, and scope are followed for each project.
• Support multiple industries with manufacturing engineering initiatives.
• Hands-on floor involvement when needed to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with quality teams to ensure runs and throughput meet standards.
• Support growth and development through mentoring and training.
