  • Analyze production metrics and cost data to identify improvement opportunities.

Manufacturing Engineer - Cedar Springs, Michigan

DISHER is partnering with a global manufacturer in Cedar Springs, MI to fill their Manufacturing Engineer position. This company designs and produces linear motion products, including actuators, lifting columns, and control systems used in medical, home care, and other industrial applications. Their products are built to support reliable motion, ergonomic adjustment, and efficient operation across a wide range of equipment.

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in improving production processes, supporting equipment and tooling needs, and driving efficiency, quality, and safety on the manufacturing floor. This position works closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams to solve problems, improve throughput, and support new product introduction. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in process improvement, hands‑on manufacturing support, and cross‑functional collaboration.

What you will get to do:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors and Engineers to identify and resolve production inefficiencies.

  • Develop and implement testing methods to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
  • Analyze production metrics and cost data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with design, quality, maintenance, and production teams to support new product introductions and optimize systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including process flows, procedures, CAD drawings, and reports.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
What will make you successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD and CAM software.
  • Knowledge of machining and assembly practices.
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
