Job summary

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to drive process improvements across fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly at our West Allis, Wisconsin facility.

The role focuses on developing standards, routings, and work instructions while mentoring others and supporting capital initiatives. The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in manufacturing engineering, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), ERP familiarity, and an ability to lead cross-functional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Required).
  • 3–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication, welding, machining, or industrial manufacturing (Required).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software and working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software (Required).
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications (Required).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, routings, work centers, labor standards, and manufacturing costing (Required).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and independently resolve technical problems (Required).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes across fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly operations.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, routings, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other process documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to manufacturing operations by troubleshooting manufacturing, quality, and process-related issues.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve process performance and product quality.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and recommend changes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
