Job summary

Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) in West Allis, WI is seeking a Controls Engineer to design highly automated blast cleaning equipment for North America.

You will work with a cross-functional team including sales, applications, engineering, manufacturing, and field service to move projects from concept to customer startup. The role covers lifecycle support such as upgrades, obsolescence planning, remote diagnostics, and software revisions for PLC-based machinery control systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical or Equivalent 2D software.
• Proficiency in Rockwell Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal PLC software.
• Proficiency in Rockwell FactoryTalk View or Siemens TIA Portal HMI software.
• Experience with Emulate3D (preferred).
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail assigned projects with engineering and shop teams.
• Submit drawings to lead engineers for review prior to release.
• Maintain BOM and part information in ERP system.
• Program PLC and HMIs to BCT guidelines; conduct shop testing.
• Support virtual machine commissioning and remote diagnostics.
• Travel approximately 20% to jobsites for commissioning and troubleshooting.
