Job summary

Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. (ASC segment) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the Sanford, NC facility to drive manufacturing excellence, support new product introductions, and lead continuous improvement across production operations.

Responsibilities include leading process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing SOPs, and applying Lean Six Sigma principles to improve throughput and reduce costs in a high-mix manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with DFM, PFMEA, time studies, labor analysis, and process optimization.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Management on NPI and changes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
• Analyze manufacturing metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Support equipment selection, tooling, workstation design, and facility layouts.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to improve throughput and reduce costs.
• Conduct time studies, labor analysis, and capacity planning.
• Lead PFMEA development and apply DFM principles.
• Assist automation initiatives and evaluate opportunities for technology enhancements.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards compliance.
