General Description
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer II independently leads manufacturing engineering initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly operations. This position serves as a technical resource to manufacturing operations and evaluates, develops, and implements manufacturing processes and technologies.
The Manufacturing Engineer II leads moderate to complex projects, supports capital equipment initiatives, develops fixturing and tooling solutions, and drives continuous improvement activities. This position exercises independent judgment, manages multiple priorities, and provides technical guidance during manufacturing problem-solving and process improvement efforts.

Work Environment
This job operates primarily in an office environment, with work that will regularly take them out to the shop floor. While performing the duties of this job out in the shop, the employee may occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. When in the shop the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the shop is sometimes loud enough to require hearing protection.
