Job summary
MicroPort Orthopedics in Arlington, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan, develop and execute manufacturing processes. You will lead projects to optimize fabrication methods, support DFM and additive manufacturing, perform PFMEAs and cost improvements, and collaborate with R&D on manufacturability and GD&T.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, experience in a machine shop, and a mix of CNC/manual machining, finishing and assembly skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing engineering role in a machine shop environment; Sr. level 5+ years.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and execute manufacturing processes.
- Lead projects to determine fabrication methods and cost objectives.
- Support DFM, additive manufacturing integration, PFMEA and process validations.
- Create router steps, CNC programs, work instructions and BOMs.
- Collaborate with R&D on manufacturability and GD&T.
