Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical manufacturing liaison across design, procurement, assembly, and quality teams.

The role focuses on translating designs into manufacturable processes and ensuring efficient production flow. The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering with up to 2 years in manufacturing engineering and a willingness to travel to support global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by management
• 0-2 years manufacturing engineering experience in a precision machine shop environment
• Ability to travel as required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Attend design reviews and evaluate product designs for manufacturability and cost.
• Review engineering drawings prior to Production Release for manufacturability and compatibility with manufacturing techniques.
• Assist in make/buy evaluations and in-house vs outside vendor manufacturing decisions.
• Evaluate assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment requirements.
• Support Lean initiatives such as 5S, TPM, and value stream mapping.
