Job summary

Humanscale in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to optimize floor-level production. You will analyze layouts, balance lines, and support scalable processes for higher volume while ensuring reliable manufacturing. You will also train operators and maintain PLM-driven work instructions.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, using Lean methods to drive efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and time studies.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design and implementation of manufacturing processes.
• Conduct time studies and assist with line balancing and capacity analysis.
• Identify tooling, fixtures, equipment to meet specs.
• Assist installation, qualification and validation of equipment.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support and troubleshoot issues.
• Train production operators on new equipment and processes.
• Document processes and work instructions in PLM system.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.
• Apply Lean principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
