Job summary

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in lean manufacturing, time study, value stream mapping and facilitating kaizen events.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Lean Principles; Six Sigma and simulation modeling are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and applying new manufacturing processes and equipment for manufacturing and assembly.
• Represent Manufacturing Engineering to other development teams within R&D and contract manufacturers.
• Lead improvement efforts on existing manufacturing processes and implement new fully tested processes.
• Partner with Design Engineering on new product development; participate in design reviews and coordinate testing.
• Partner with Quality Engineering to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements.
• Qualify and validate new and improved processes, fixtures, equipment, and technology for manufacturability.
• Review manufacturing processes for inefficiencies.
• Coordinate lean manufacturing and lean office improvement activities.
• Teach production and office workers lean principles; create and update value stream maps; facilitate kaizen events.
