Job summary

Starkey is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer I for its Operations team at its Eden Prairie, MN headquarters. The role requires a 4-year degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering and at least 1 year of related experience, with strong Lean and manufacturing process knowledge.

You will develop and apply new processes and equipment for manufacturing and assembly, coordinate with design, quality, and suppliers, and drive continuous improvements across products.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in lean manufacturing, time study, and value stream mapping.
• Experience facilitating kaizen events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve efficiencies.
• Serve as liaison between manufacturing and other departments to analyze and resolve issues.
• Continually improve manufacturing processes for custom, standard and accessory products.
• Coordinate lean manufacturing and lean office improvements.
• Teach lean principles to production and office staff and map current and future state value streams.
• Review processes for inefficiencies and track time standards and capacities.
• Support project managers with facility layouts and equipment validation.
