Job summary

Komline-Barnes is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support quality assurance on the production floor in Rockford, IL. The role involves Visual Factory and vendor quality management, and requires CAD experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Level I focuses on process sheets, drawing reviews, and QA procedures, with Level II expanding to welding and flat layout work. Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 1–5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Level I QA and engineering drawings reading experience required.
• Experience reviewing drawings for fabrications and documenting changes.
• General manufacturing and fabrication inspection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create process sheets for manufacturing and assign materials.
• Review drawings to verify built product against specs.
• Conduct Factory Assurance Testing and document results.
• Inspect purchased commodity items.
• 50% time on the production floor.
• Develop flat patterns from drawings using AutoCAD (Level II).
• Review drawings for accuracy prior to fabrication.
