Responsibilities include:

  • Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs.
  • Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP.
  • Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, and reduce costs using Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
  • Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
  • Tool/fixture development to enhance ergonomics into processes.
  • Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of CORE principles and techniques.
  • Technical drawing interpretation, GD&T.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (preferably CREO/ProE).
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
  • Innovative mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with automated tooling, refurbishment, and government furnished material.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
