Job summary

Raycap, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I for our North Charleston facility.

This on-site role focuses on developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing and assembly processes, with heavy floor-time and ownership from concept to completion. The candidate will create work instructions, lead root-cause analyses, participate in quality improvements, and collaborate with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with QMS, EMS, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar degree.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.
• CAD and 2D drafting experience.
• ISO 9001 experience with process documentation and system audits a plus.
• Relevant industry experience in the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions.
• Leads RCA analysis and corrective/preventive actions for products, processes, or system nonconformances.
• Participate in the resolution of quality issues and drive associated improvements.
• Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout.
• Preparing jobs to be released for production.
• Works with Quality Manager to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of QMS, EMS, and OSHA.
• Continuously assesses opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Ensures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Programming for all production processing needs.
• Uses engineering drawings to program machinery for engineered items.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

Manufacturing Engineer I

Full-time Regular North Charleston, SC, US

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing and assembly solutions for the facility's equipment and assembly processes to ensure efficient operations. This "hands-on" position requires spending the majority of time on the manufacturing floor and must be able to take projects from conception to completion.
