Job summary

Raycap, Inc. in Post Falls, ID seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Manufacturing Engineering function, guide maintenance and technicians, and support new product introductions.

You will collaborate with R&D and QM to ensure manufacturability and quality, develop assembly fixtures, and drive cost reductions through process improvements. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment and a strong knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks and OSHA/QM standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with OSHA Compliance and QM.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between R&D and Manufacturing for new product introduction.
• Supports QM program by developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Provides technical advice to test technicians.
• Assesses possible manufacturing automation opportunities.
• Defines requirements for additional equipment and tools and implements new equipment.
• Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions.
• Participates in the resolution of quality issues and drives improvements.
• Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout.
• Works closely with supply chain resources to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Provides technical assistance with meeting OSHA requirements.
• Designs assembly fixtures and other manufacturing aids.
• Regular attendance at Safety Committee meetings for QMS/EMS/OHSA reviews.
• Continuous assessment of opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer, Sr is responsible for meeting the requirements of the Operations Department. Assists with new product introduction to the production facilities, reviews product manufacturability, test fixture development and maintains manufacturing automation and equipment needs. Provides supervision and direction to Manufacturing Engineers, Manufacturing Technician and Maintenance Technician.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between R&D and Manufacturing for new product introduction
• Supports Raycap QM program by developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Provides technical advice to test technicians
• Assesses possible manufacturing automation opportunities
• Defines requirements for additional equipment and tools and implement new equipment
• Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions
• Participates in the resolution of quality issues and drive associated improvements
• Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout
• Works closely with supply chain resources to identify cost reduction opportunities
• Provides technical assistance with meeting OSHA requirement
• Designs assembly fixtures and other manufacturing aids
• Regular attendance at Safety Committee meetings for review and discussion of the performance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and (Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA); ensuring processes remain sustainable, suitable and effective
• Continuous assessment of opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
• Working knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits and assemblies
• 2 – 5 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills through experience, training and working well with others
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with OSHA Compliance and QM
